HIGH SCHOOL STORY: CLASS ACT, BOOK 1
Choices: Stories You Play
"Friendship, fun, and romance await you at Oliver M. Berry High School... if you can make it through your first day."

With the first High School Story trilogy complete, the series was feeling ready for a refresh. High School Story: Class Act is a soft reboot of the High School Story series; same setting, same tone, same continuity, but with a new protagonist and main characters.
I continued my role as book lead for the first book in the trilogy, which, as with the first three books, meant I was responsible for making sure the creative vision was realized, and serving as the point of contact between the writing team and other departments. I also wrote and edited several chapters, and provided feedback on chapters that other writers wrote.

When the main character of High School Story: Class Act is cast as the lead in the high school play, he or she is looking forward to strutting their stuff on stage and maybe getting closer to Rory, their co-star, childhood friend, and first crush. What they didn't count on was a jealous castmate, a heartbroken twin sibling, or, most terrifyingly of all, a mandatory stage kiss! High School Story: Class Act took a more streamlined approach than the first trilogy did, with one choice of activity and three love interests, one of which had a customizable gender and appearance. This allowed us to focus on telling a better story with stronger characters and romances. And, when players were presented with major choices, we were able to make them really count.

After the first book in the new trilogy was complete, I turned book lead and writer duties over to my capable colleagues, but stayed involved as team mentor to help out during brainstorms for books 2 and 3. While I did propose some plotlines, my main function here was expanding on ideas that the other writers had so they would work well in-game.
